Description
Password Safe is a free and open source tool for the Windows operating system that provides users with secure password management. Developed by renowned security expert Bruce Schneier, the core philosophy of the program is that security should be simple and accessible. For this reason, all data is stored in an encrypted database file that can only be opened with a “master password”.
New versions of the program, such as 3.70.1, focus on increasing security and adding functionality. The software is designed to be resistant to brute-force attacks and also ensures a high level of protection by wiping sensitive data from the device’s memory as quickly as possible.
Program features and functions
- Store passwords in an encrypted database using secure algorithms (AES-256 and Twofish).
