Connect and Protect: Networks and Network Security course. This is the third Google Cyber \u200b\u200bSecurity certification course. These courses will equip you with the skills you need to apply for an entry-level cybersecurity job. You will build on your understanding of the topics covered in the second Google Cyber \u200b\u200bSecurity certification course. In this training course, you will explore how to connect networks to multiple devices and how to communicate with them. You start with the basics of modern network operations and protocols. For example, you will learn about the Transmission Control Protocol\/Internet Protocol (TCP\/IP) model and how network hardware, such as routers and modems, allow your computer to send and receive information on the Internet. Next, you will learn about network security. Organizations often store and transmit valuable information on their networks, so networks are common targets for cyber attacks. By the end of this course, you will be able to recognize network-level vulnerabilities and explain how to secure a network using firewalls, system hardening, and virtual private networks.
