Course Build a complete pixel platformer in Godot 4!. The course of making a full pixel platformer in Godo 4!. Learn how to make a perfect pixel platformer in Godot 4 by following this course! Whether you\u2019re new to game development, new to the Godo engine, or want to improve your skills with some high-level design principles, you\u2019ll learn a lot here! I recommend that you have at least a basic understanding of game engines and scripting before starting this course. Each section of the course generally focuses on 1 aspect of the game. Characters, levels, treasure, enemies, etc. The sections are further divided into 7 video lessons, each focusing on teaching 1 feature of the Godo engine, 1 script, or 1 specific part of game development. At the end of each section, you\u2019ll have a template for building different aspects of your game. There is an assignment that you must complete before moving on to the rest of the course, repeating many of the lessons taught in this section to implement more of the game\u2019s assets, while providing additional challenges for those who want them. Try, provide. The challenges are optional and there is no need to continue the lessons. This course includes scripting in Godo programming language. If this is your first time using the script, feel free to follow along and I\u2019ll explain each step as we go along. To avoid overwhelming new students, I try not to explain everything at once, but instead focus on individual elements relevant to each lesson. If you have experience with scripting in other languages, Godo Script is very easy to pick up and you can appreciate how well it optimizes the engine and game development in general. The assets used in this course are available for free on itch and FreeSound. After completing the course you will have a complete game that you can upload and share.
