CREATING A CUSTOM 3D KIT FOR CONCEPT ART course. Learn the process of creating a 3D kit from start to finish. Discover all the insights and techniques to help you get the most out of creating 3D kits and get inspired to produce epic visuals, from generating initial ideas, gathering references, and doing prep work to finalizing concept art in Photoshop. Everything will be covered to help you create your own 3D kit assets, including modeling and texturing assets, from single assets to more complex parts, assembling new assets and building a scene. You will then explore how to use the generated assets to build the final images. The tutorial workflow provides a comprehensive approach to asset creation and scene development, starting with hand painting, stamping plants, and using blender texture nodes to generate individual assets. These assets are then transformed into a versatile kit that uses Blender techniques, including mirroring and shapers, to progress from simpler to more complex components. With the creation of a significant asset library, the focus shifts to the conceptualization of building assets. This involves using simple Photoshop painting techniques to refine the final concept. The next step involves building a complete scene using the compiled kit. Additional techniques include simple modeling and sculpting in ZBrush as well as using VR with Gravity Sketch, transitioning to scene assembly in Blender with the development kit. The process concludes with a refined approach to lighting, rendering and finalizing the image in Photoshop. This 6-hour workshop is recommended for artists with a basic understanding of conceptual art, 3D and intermediate Photoshop skills. The structured methodology ensures a consistent and professional result throughout the asset creation and scene development process.
