ZylSerialPort is a multi-threaded and asynchronous component for connecting to serial ports in Delphi and C ++ Builder.<\/span> This library is coded asynchronously and in several threads.<\/span> This means that the serial port information is received in the background and does not freeze or interfere with your application\u2019s interface while still being able to interact with users.<\/span> With this component you can easily communicate and read or write to external serial devices such as fingerprint scanners, fax modems, printers, barcode readers, GSM modules, GPS devices, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to serial ports, you are able to receive data from a usb port as well as other ports such as irDA and bluetooth.<\/span> This is because these devices usually have drivers for redirecting data to serial virtual ports and the component can easily connect to the destination device via this virtual port.<\/span> If your device\u2019s usb port does not have this capability, try using a usb controller that provides such a virtual port, such as FTDI adapters or USB \/ RS-232.<\/span><\/p>\n
