Exploiting protocols such as FTP, SSH, and HTTP, as well as bypassing firewalls and intrusion detection systems with techniques such as MAC address spoofing, Decoy scanning, and TTL modification, is taught. The course concludes with an introduction to the Zenmap GUI and writing a Python program to scan and diagnose operating systems based on Nmap, and the fundamental principles of scanning and exploiting are emphasized throughout.
