Description
Ethical Hacking with JavaScript. This course teaches how to exploit common security vulnerabilities in web applications. The course begins with an overview of common vulnerabilities such as XSS and then uses JavaScript as an attack tool to demonstrate the risk of these vulnerabilities. You will learn how to manipulate the content of a site, including pages, forms, links, and functions. This skill is then advanced by exploiting HTML forms to collect additional user data and send it to a controlled server. Techniques for exposing and stealing user cookies are also covered, as well as stealing login credentials to exploit the application’s authentication system. The course continues by teaching you how to intercept mouse interactions and implement a custom keystroke logger for user vulnerabilities. It also teaches you how to exploit account recovery mechanisms, such as security questions. In the advanced section, participants learn how to chain together multiple attacks to exploit multiple application vulnerabilities simultaneously. This includes creating fake forum posts, running targeted phishing campaigns, and using command injection to gain access to the server operating system. Finally, the course concludes with an introduction to the defense techniques necessary to counter these attacks and secure web applications. All topics in this course are presented within the framework of ethical hacking and exclusively using the JavaScript language.
