Description
SEC530 Defensible Security Architecture and Engineering. This course provides comprehensive, hands-on training for building and strengthening a security infrastructure. Using a Zero Trust approach and utilizing existing tools such as next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection systems, security event management (SIEM), authentication platforms, and cloud controls, this course teaches participants how to mitigate attack surfaces and anticipate threats by assessing and reconfiguring technologies. Over 25 hands-on labs strengthen students’ vendor-neutral skills. The primary focus is on building layers of defense including prevention, detection, and response across networks, endpoints, and data. This course teaches how to integrate various components, including switches, routers, proxies, sandboxes, cryptography, and public key infrastructure (PKI), to increase visibility and build a robust, multi-layered security architecture in complex hybrid environments, and examines the strengths and weaknesses of the latest technologies.
