Description

Pianoteq Pro is a virtual instrument from Modartt that uses physical modeling technology to produce realistic and dynamic sounds from pianos and other instruments. Unlike samplers, the software generates sound in real time , which makes the program much more expressive and responsive, and provides a new level of emotional expression for the musician. This version introduces new features aimed at enhancing the audio experience. Overall, Pianoteq 9 aims to deliver a richer, more natural, and more three-dimensional sound to immerse the player and listener in a truly realistic soundscape.

Program features and functions

  • Improved Soundboard Vibration Model:
  • An improved soundboard vibration model has been created, producing deeper, more realistic sound and better spatial perception in stereo mode.
  • Thanks to this new model, the sound of instruments sounds richer, more natural (organic), and three-dimensional.
  • New and updated instruments:
  • A brand new instrument called the “Triple Harp” has been added to the Harps section. This instrument has its roots in the Baroque era and has a distinctive and delicate sound.
  • String plucking performance has been improved for the Concert Harp and Celtic Harp instruments.
  • The MKII and Vintage Reeds have been updated to provide a more dynamic response and a richer sound in fortissimo passages.
  • Wider Preset Selection:
  • New expressive presets have been added to the program, including the following:
  • “Sombre” preset to create a deep, cinematic sound.
  • “Felt” preset for vintage instruments.
  • Improved Binaural presets to deliver a fuller, more immersive sound when using headphones.
  • Extended microphone capabilities:
  • The interface allows up to eight virtual microphones to be placed around the instrument.
  • The updated mixer provides intuitive and easy-to-use controls for stereo and multichannel outputs.
  • New and powerful “Thunder” pedal:
  • The new “Thunder” pedal and many more features have also been added to the program.
  • PRO version:
  • The PRO version , as the ultimate and professional version of the program, allows the user to customize up to 30 physical parameters for each note separately.
  • This version supports internal sampling rates up to 192 kHz ( $192 text{ kHz}$ ) .

  • Operating System Windows 10 (64-bit) or later. Windows 11 is also compatible.
  • Processor (CPU) A recent CPU is recommended; most modern i5 processors or an Intel Core 2 Duo / AMD Athlon 64 X2 or higher can handle it.
  • Memory (RAM) Minimum 512 MB RAM; 4GB is sufficient for most uses.
