The HttpMaster project can be saved to disk as a file with the extension ‘ hmpr ‘ for later reuse. The project file is saved internally in XML format.

- The HttpMaster project includes many options that can be used to fine-tune the generated HTTP requests. These options include request encoding , global URL and query string , global HTTP request headers , and several advanced properties such as URL encoding and the ability to completely disable execution data caching, which can be useful for completing executions faster without collecting any data.
- In project properties , you can also define parameters with different data types and different generation types. Parameters allow you to include dynamic data in your request items; this can be useful for creating multiple requests based on parameter data or for creating globally reusable values. All defined parameters can be used with request item properties , such as the request item URL .
- By default, HttpMaster validates each executed request with the default system validation . The default system validation monitors the returned HTTP status codes and determines the execution result based on this status code. However, you can define custom validations in the project properties and then use these project validations to define a custom validation logical expression for each request item. There are several types of custom validations available; most of them perform a validation on the response body .
