Description
FurMark is a very powerful benchmark tool based on the OpenGL programming interface, designed specifically for measuring the performance of graphics cards (GPUs). The software uses advanced and very heavy Fur Rendering algorithms. The reason for choosing these algorithms is that rendering fur or wool (Fur) puts a lot of strain on the graphics processing unit and effectively increases the temperature of the GPU . For this reason, FurMark not only acts as a speed benchmark, but also an ideal tool for performing stability and stress tests (often called “GPU burn” ) to ensure the correct and stable operation of the graphics card under maximum workloads over a long period of time. This feature is of vital importance for users who have overclocked their graphics card or want to ensure the health and strength of the GPU cooling system. The main goal of this test is to reveal any potential weaknesses or instabilities in the graphics system that may not appear under normal usage conditions.
Program features and functions
- Operating Mode Selection: The user can choose between Benchmark mode and Stability / Burn-in test mode. Stability test mode is the optimal mode for overclockers and long-term tests under heavy load.
- Temperature monitoring and recording: This program has the ability to monitor and record the temperature of the graphics processing unit (GPU temperature monitoring). In addition to displaying the temperature live during the test, this information can be saved and recorded in a separate file so that the user can accurately and analytically examine the thermal changes of their graphics card after the test is completed.
- Display Mode Setting: The ability to run the test in Fullscreen or Windowed mode is provided for both test modes (Benchmark or Burn-in). This feature helps the user to easily access other monitoring tools while running the test.
- Window size selection: The user can select the size of the test execution window from predefined standard dimensions or specify a custom size for it to be tested with specific resolution and dimensions.
- MSAA samples selection: It is possible to select the level of multi-sample anti-aliasing filtering (MSAA samples selection).
System requirements
- Operating System : Windows XP or any newer Windows version (Windows 7, 8, 10, 11). It is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
- Graphics APIs : Requires support for OpenGL or Vulkan APIs, which modern graphics cards have.
- Drivers : Up-to-date graphics drivers from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel are necessary for proper functionality and monitoring.
Installation Guide and Tips
The software is active and does not require cracking.
