Description
FlexPDE is a general-purpose software for obtaining numerical solutions to partial differential equations in 2 or 3 dimensions. This program is based on the finite element method and can solve fixed or time dependent problems. FlexPDE is a constructor of numerical and finite element models. This means that from a user-written script, FlexPDE performs the operations necessary to convert the system description of discrete differential equations into a finite element model. Slow and graphical output and table outputs provide results. FlexPDE is also a problem-solving environment. It provides a whole set of functions needed to solve partial-scale differential equations: a script editor, a mesh generator for constrained numerical networks, a finite element solver for finding solutions, and a system.
