SanDisk USB products are designed to be plugged directly into a computer and used. SanDisk PrivateAccess , formerly known as SanDisk SecureAccess , is a companion software for SanDisk flash drives . It is designed to provide data security and privacy, and provides encryption and file protection capabilities . This feature allows users to create and manage a private and secure storage space (Private Vault) directly on their SanDisk storage device.
Program features and functions
- Create a Secure Vault: PrivateAccess software allows users to create a secure, encrypted partition on their SanDisk device. This private space keeps sensitive and confidential data safe from unauthorized access. Standard 128-bit AES encryption is used to protect data in this partition.
- File Protection and Advanced Encryption: Using encryption techniques, this program automatically encrypts all files placed in this secure space . Even if the storage device is lost or stolen, access to information will not be possible without entering the correct password , and data will be protected from theft.
- To install, you must first copy the PrivateAccess software to a SanDisk USB flash drive connected to your computer . Once copied, you will be able to install the program.
- The company’s technical support team is unable to recover or provide assistance with forgotten passwords . Therefore, it is the user’s responsibility to maintain and remember the password.
- Failure to safely eject the drive from the computer can lead to data corruption and loss of stored information.
