Description
VX Search is an automated, rule-based file search solution that allows the user to search for files by file type, category, extension, file name, file size, location, creation, modification and last access dates, regular expression, user name, file attribute, binary and text pattern, JPEG EXIF tags and more.
Program features and functions
- File Search and Management: The user can sort and filter file search results, perform file management operations, generate various types of Pie and Bar charts, save reports in standard formats such as HTML, PDF, Excel, Text, CSV, and XML, and export search results to a SQL database.
- Advanced Features IT administrators have access to advanced search capabilities, including simultaneous file searches across multiple servers or NAS storage devices , periodic search execution, automatic report generation, and conditional file search actions that allow them to send email notifications or execute custom commands when a specific number of files are found.
- Search for files on network servers and NAS storage devices VX Search allows the user to scan the network, identify network servers and NAS storage devices, automatically detect all accessible network shares, and search for files on hundreds of network servers and NAS storage devices . In addition, the user can export the list of detected servers and NAS storage devices (including the list of network shares for each server) to HTML, PDF, Excel, Text, XML, and CSV reports.
- Main User Interface and Command Line To search for files on one or more servers or NAS storage devices , the user must press the ‘Network’ button located on the main toolbar and wait for VX Search to scan the network and display a list of detected servers and NAS storage devices. In the dialog window related to servers and NAS storage devices , the user must select the desired servers and press the ‘Search’ button.
- VX Search displays all network shares on selected servers and NAS storage devices , allowing the user to search for files and save various types of file search reports and charts. In addition, VX Search offers a large number of advanced file search options that allow the user to customize and fine-tune the file search operation to their specific needs and hardware configuration.
