Linux: Kernels and Logging for System Administration. This course focuses on managing the Linux kernel in enterprise environments, managing the GRUB boot loader, the system startup process, and the basics of the event logging system. This course is designed for system administrators to gain a deeper understanding of the core mechanisms of Linux, including managing different kernel versions, updating the kernel, and controlling its modules. In this course, Mr. Grant McWilliams teaches how to troubleshoot Linux installation problems using emergency mode, as well as manage system services through systemd. A significant part of the training is dedicated to the event logging system, which includes searching and managing log files, rotating them, setting the persistence of journald reports, and using rsyslog filters.
